Apple Chocolate Cake

apple chocolate cake

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Okay, this is nothing new for most of you. But seriously, I will never have a problem to eat one apple a day at least. Fortunately you can buy apples all the year, but in autumn you get the best ones here in Germany. I think, this is one reason, why I love autumn so much. Another reason is the changing of colours, leaves turn red and yellow and the light becomes so warm and cozy. I wish I could enjoy that beautiful side of autumn from september until november. Unfortunatly I live in a city with a really high level rainfall (even in summer!) and everything is just grey in grey at the moment.

Do you know the “problem”? Whenever temperatures outside get lower and the weather turns really unpleasant, I crave chocolate. So why don’t making the best of it and use the time you have on a late rainy afternoon to combine two autumn treats and bake a apple chocolate cake. Oh and well, I did not know if I prefer to call the cake brownies, because it is not that fudgy like brownies should be. But on the other hand, I have also read about cakey brownies. Are brownies and chocolate cake the same or are brownies a kind of chocolate cake? Maybe somebody can help with these two terms 🙂
