When it comes to christmas you are lucky if you live in Germany. There are such nice customs during the christmas season especially for kids like, for example, getting a candy filled boot in the morning of St. Nicholas’s day (kids have to clean their boots the evening before and put them outside the door) or the Advent calender (that is something what children and adults are thrilled about… hehe). One thing we really love to do in this season is spending our free time at the christmas market. Some Christmas markets here in Germany (like the “Christkindlesmarkt” in Nuremberg or “Striezelmarkt” in Dresden) a have a long tradition and are even known abroad, but here in Hamburg we don’t have that traditional or kind of central Christmas market. It is rather that we have a lot small christmas markets in different districts.
There is barly a week left until christmas and I am already a little bit excited. In my last blog post just a few days ago I told you how busy I had been. But last friday night I did all the stuff which had to be done before the end of the year. Finally! And I plan not to check my professional e-mails and take a break from my professional Facebook account. So I could enjoy this last weekend before christmas to the full when the family of my husband visited us. I just love those lovely evenings with our families and friends anyway and it makes it so much funnier and more relaxing since I know I don’t have to check my e-mails later when I am back at home.
Well, I don’t want to excuse myself for being absent for such a long time again, because I think you certainly become tired of hearing that from me every second month 😉 Yes, there are always some weeks in year when I am super busy and on the road almost every weekend, so you can probably imagine there is no time for blogging. In addition I want to be honest, there was also a time I was fighting with some health issues and I was simply tired of being active on social media. And because I just blog for fun and not for living I just take my time to find my motivation and pleasure for all that stuff again. Today I am finally back for posting this long time ago promised recipe for gluten, dairy and refined sugar free coconut pancakes.
A few months ago I had a very stressful time. And whenever I am in such a phase I get issues with my stomach. And usally everything is going to be fine as soon as things start to work out better. I don’t know if it’s because I am getting older or the stress level is higher, but my issues with my stomach still persited. I can tell you, for someone like me who really love to eat, it’s almost the worst case. So I changed some eating habits, for example eating less white wheat flour and refined sugar and I quit with coffee, which encourges the production of stomach acid. But like it could be read in Instagram account for a long time, I was totally coffee addicted and I needed my daily dose caffeine (had the worst headache ever without one). So I have switched to Matcha green tea, which was really good for my stomach, my head and particulary my mood.
